Not much new to report on the home front. I have started 2 online classes towards my bachelors. They are writing intensive which do not equate to too much fun. I would rather show things in my actions rather than trying to explain them in great detail to people ya know?

Elijah and Hannah continue to grow. Elijah outgrew his infant carseat by height and so now we are carrying him a lot more. He is in that in between stage where he is not big enough for restaurant high chairs or shopping carts.

I am taking him Monday morning to Cranial Technologies in Clinton CT. This is a company that specializes in their band. They will take pictures and measurements and make recommendations on whether they think Elijah will need treatment or not. Because they specialize in this I can take that information to the neurosurgeon in February.

Hannah has lost yet another tooth. She did complain that the Torrington Tooth fairy does not pay as high as the Southbury tooth fairy!

Work is continuing to go well. In the beginning of February I will go to the night shift and Dave to the day shift. I will only have to work 3 nights a week which means a lot more time eating dinner together as a family. Of course a post is useless without pictures right?

Happy New Year!

We hope that your new year has started off great! We had a nice and quiet new year this year. We stayed in, made some fabulous seafood alfredo, watched the new Pirates of the Carribean ;ok David is the only one who made it through the entire movie, and then Hannah and I went to bed by 11.

Before Christmas Elijah went for his 4 month checkup. He was 17lbs and 27 inches. This week we officially moved him out of his infant carrier because he is too long for it. This is an issue a bit because he is not yet strong enough to sit in grocery carts etc. Therefore strollers and carriers are in his future.

While at the pediatrician there was a covering dr. She mentioned that Elijah's head flatness on one side was a concern along with his seemingly tight neck muscle. She recommended that we come back when our pediatrician was in. We went back this past Friday and he wants us to follow up with a specialist.

So Elijah has an appointment with CT Childrens Cranial team Chief of neurosurgery dr on February 12th. Surgery definately would not be involved, however if they feel the degree of flatness is severe enough he may be in for a cranial band.

Our last snow fall was exciting as it was actually snow man making snow. Hannah has been asking continuously to play in the snow, so we took an opportunity while Elijah was sleeping to go out and play. Time allowed us only a mini snowman, but he was cute nonetheless.

I also wanted to talk about how Elijah sleeps. He takes his blanket and proceeds to pull it up over his head. This is how he remains all night. In the morning when he wakes up, he proceeds to snuggle with the blanket.
